Red Silence

In this work I treat the landscape as a witness to the violence imposed by the state. By using soil, the red pigment stays on the surface of the ground without being absorbed or fading, which signals the continued collective trauma in Iran. The soil in the piece bears witness to the blood that has been spilled on this land.
